This report is not specific to a particular unit in this building
Avoid this building, it is not worth saving the difference in rent. We stayed in a 2-bedroom unit and were paying 1370$ per month. 1300$ for the all-inclusive unit (hydro, water, heating, etc.) plus 70$ for parking.

We have lived here for 10 months, starting mid-2017. There is a lot of pros for this place: location (close to uOttawa and St Paul U, transit is at the door, walking distance to downtown,...), huge yard out front with a nice park, good neighbourhood nestled between The Glebe and Sandy Hill (two high-end neighbourhoods) and large all-inclusive units. I've noticed a huge improvement since new management has come in: they are very professional, organized and hard working. I can't express how much they don't compare to previous management.

But no matter how hard the new management tries, there is no helping bug infestations at the level that it's at in this building. We've been lucky enough not to witness bed bugs, but there have been a LOT of complaints from people who have. What we have witnessed an abundance of, is cockroaches. We are a very clean couple, so this came as a surprise and shock to us. We quickly realized that they were coming in from other units. We reported it and management was quick to schedule two rounds of fumigations - but to no avail. Less than a week after both the first and second fumigations, they were back. As soon as it got dark, we'd turn the light on in the kitchen and see a few crawling along the countertops. Witnessed some in the cupboards, on the walls, table, coffee table - absolutely disgusting.

As for parking, it is indoor and heated during the winter. One spot is 70$ per month. The garage constantly has a foul smell. It is where the garbage is housed, but the smell is worse than just garbage. Witnessed a sulfur smell several times. Also incredibly dusty and just unclean.
