Can be Noisy

I've been living on the 2nd flood of this apartment for just over 16 months now and have had on-going issues with noise above us since. The first was a dog that would bark non-stop any time the owners left. I had contacted the company several times about this with no response. I eventually had to take matters into my own hands and call bylaw. We now have new tenants who have moved in and we were given NO notice as to on-going renovations in the unit above us. These renovations tend to be on/off and have been going on for 2 months now. I have contacted both my landlord and the property management company. I was told a letter had been sent out, but I am still constantly dealing with on/off renovations from the unit above, loud partying, and stomping (due to heavy work boots ALWAYS being worn even when renovations are not going on). The stomping causes vibrations within our unit and it is constantly keeping me up. I still do not have a time-frame as to how long these renovations will be going on for and in other apartments I have rented from we have ALWAYS been given a notice in regards to any noise that will disrupt the peace in our own unit. If you plan on renting from here, I recommend you get a unit on the top floor.
