This report is not specific to a particular unit in this building
200 Bay Street South is/was considered the "Flag-Ship" of Homestead properties in the Golden Horseshoe.

The 2 bedroom units are fairly spacious with the exception of the insanely small galley-style kitchen. Good luck having 2 people work in there at the same time. The living room is what 200 Bay street South is known for....they're sunken-living spaces.

Bathroom had a his/hers sinks which was a nice feature in the morning.

Location-wise is great for those who don't have/need a car. Being 5 blocks from the downtown core means you have access to the Jackson Square Farmer's market, FirstOntario Centre (formerly Copp's Colliseum), Go Train Station, St-Joseph's hospital, Hess Village and the quaint shops along Locke Street.

This place is well equipped - all utils included including central air. It even has it's own sports centre which includes indoor pool and exercise room and small tuck shop which has the every-day basics including snacks.

At the time we lived they also had gas barbeques that tenants could utilize year-round.

I loved the building's security as entry to the building / parking and the Sports centre is done using proximity cards so no fumbling with different keys.

The only problem we had there was the awful windows that we couldn't wash the outsides...the building had shifted where the sliding windows are now trapped in their metal frames....so for 6 years we had to view the outside through grungy windows. Pigeons were also a problem, but I guess that's the price to pay for living downtown.

Staff at that time were very friendly and repairs were performed in fairly short delays.
