Great starter apt in Island Park

My fiancé and I rented the top unit of this duplex from Ron for about a year and a half. We moved for career reasons... but reluctantly! The greatness of this location CAN'T be understated. 5 mins to the Transitway (soon less w/ LRT), walking distance to Westboro, 3+ non-transitway bus routes within a 2min walk while still tucked away on a quiet family street. You can get anywhere and eat anything :) The apt itself is fairly small with decent maintenance, it's the upper floor of a converted single-family home so some amenities were missing - eg no dishwasher or laundry. There are laundry options in the hood along the bus routes. Bedrooms are a good size with crown molding and big windows and one has a balcony overlooking the backyard. Maintenance was handled by the landlord reasonably promptly. The hardwood floors were redone right before we moved in (awesome!) and the kitchen, which, heads up, *is* pretty small, was also new. Tenant paid rent + hydro + water heater rental.
